You can get some oak tag, some stickers, a marker, some pictures out of a magazine, and create a board of symbols and words on what you want your life to look like in the future. Put the vision board in a place you can see it daily. I create a vision board a few years ago and 90% of what I had on there came to reality.

Louise Hay, a well-known advocate for affirmations, states in her work You Can Heal Your Life, that repeating affirmations can significantly change our lives in a positive way. You can also write out the affirmations and post them in places where you can easily see them. Say these affirmations out loud every day and see what transpires.

The idea is to imagine and feel your desire as already fulfilled, essentially living in the reality of your wish fulfilled. In other words, if you want a promotion, visualize your colleagues congratulating you for it as if it already happened. Or if you want to lose weight, imagine yourself at your ideal weight. These visualizations are more powerful if you picture one image of what you want to manifest when you are falling asleep and resonate with the feelings of having what you want already in your life. Neville Goddard tells us in his book, Feeling is the Secret, that the feelings are what get embedded in the subconscious mind and is what brings our goals to reality. Our subconscious mind drives our lives 97% of the time, the key to manifesting is to feed our subconscious mind what we want. We do that by feeding it feelings of what we want in life, as if it is already here. You have the ability to manifest your dreams into reality.
The 5x55 Method
The 5x55 method is a newer technique gaining traction in the manifestation community. It involves writing down a specific affirmation 55 times a day for five consecutive days. This repetitive action is believed to effectively reprogram the subconscious mind.
Meditation

Japa is a meditation where you envision what you want in your life, and basically you put these thoughts out into the world and allow them to encircle the world and then imagine that energy coming back to you.

Gratitude plays an important role in manifestation. The more grateful you are, the more positive our thoughts get imbedded into our subconscious minds. Research has continuously given us medical benefits, as well as emotional benefits, for being grateful.

Conscious and Subconscious mind
The conscious mind has accumulated a wealth of information since our birth and throughout childhood and adulthood. Thousands of thoughts and feelings get embedded in our conscious state and relayed over to our subconscious mind. The conscious mind is considered male, where thoughts are formed and turn into feelings.The subconscious mind is female, like a woman’s womb where birth or form takes place.
Freud explained the mind in distinct levels, each with their own roles and functions. These are two of the levels of the mind:
The conscious mind contains all of the thoughts, memories, feelings, and wishes of which we are aware at any given moment. This is the aspect of our mental processing that we can think and talk about rationally. This also includes our memory, which is not always part of consciousness but can be retrieved easily and brought into awareness.
The unconscious mind is an unlimited amount of feelings, thoughts, urges, and memories that are outside of our conscious awareness. The unconscious contains contents that are unacceptable or unpleasant, such as feelings of pain, anxiety, or conflict as well as joy, love and feelings of contentment, just to name a few.
Since 97% of our subconscious mind is the commander of our life, it’s important to pay attention to this area of our brain. We navigate in life, making major decisions, by our subconscious mind. To be clear, it is an automatic response to life, because we don’t have access to our subconscious mind on a conscious level. Subconscious mind is always with us, but not visible by our conscious mind. We can’t grasp what it is doing, yet it navigates almost all of our actions.
When you get up each morning, have breakfast, shower, get dressed, and check your schedule, these are automatic routine events that you don’t really think too much about, you just do them. The subconscious mind is navigating these events without you putting any thought or focus on the subconscious mind or even understanding what is transpiring with it.
Feelings are the Secret
Remember, all of our past traumas, experiences, joyful events and so much more are stored in the subconscious mind by our feelings. It is not stored by thoughts, only feelings. Therefore, when an event happens in our life, we feed the feelings into our subconscious mind and that is one of many layers of feelings that help us navigate our life. There are layers and layers of past feelings floating around in our subconscious mind. However, my understanding is, whatever you feed your subconscious mind on a regular basis will be what navigates your life.
Feelings are the secret, because it is in the feelings that we can change the subconscious mind from negative to positive experiences. It is in the feelings that we can actually change our destiny.
Repatterning
Let’s say you have anger issues from past experience, let’s say, in childhood. This anger and perhaps resentments are regressed in your subconscious mind and perhaps that is what you are resonating with in life. Therefore, you might have a chip on your shoulder with everyone you encounter. Or perhaps uncontrollable anger towards those you love.
You can actually repattern the subconscious mind to overpower the anger feelings with loving feelings. Repatterning our subconscious mind is something that is definitely feasible. Or let’s say you are dating and you keep meeting narsisitic dates. Your subconscious mind was programmed in childhood to a point that makes you attract the same type of man/woman that you programmed in your brain as a child. You can repattern that in your subconscious mind, as well.
Manifesting Change
Not only can you change the subconscious minds negative influence on you, but what if we could influence the subconscious mind to a point where you can manifest what we want in life, say manifesting our goals or wishes? What if we could tell our subconscious mind what direction we want your life to go in, and that becomes a reality? Would that be a magical world of illusion or reality? Well, believe it or not the answer is it would be a world of reality.
The key is to repattern our subconscious mind with enough positive feelings that relate to what we want to manifest. It is the feelings of what you want to manifest, as if it is already here, which must be relayed into the subconscious mind in order to manifest it into reality. All form in the world originated as a thought and feelings. Some thoughts and feelings are more powerful than others. Now, just take a minute to allow that to sink in.
The Miracle of the Subconscious Mind
Neville Goddard, who wrote over 60 books on the field of manifesting and subconscious mind, has declared these fascinating theoretical statements, that are quoted from his book, “Feeling is the Secret,” regarding manifesting and the subconscious mind, which people like Dr. Wayne Dyer confer with.
“The conscious generates ideas and impresses these ideas on the subconscious; the subconscious receives ideas and gives form and expression to them.”
“Ideas are impressed on the subconscious through the medium of feelings. No idea can be impressed on the subconscious until it is felt, but once felt – be it good, bad or indifferent, - it must be expressed. (by the subconscious into form)
“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and feel as true, the subconscious can and must objectify. Your feelings create the pattern from which your world is fashioned, and a change of feeling is a change of pattern.”
“Chance or accident is not responsible for the things that happen to you, nor is predestined fate the author of your fortune or misfortune. Your subconscious impressions determine the conditions of your world.”
Your subconscious impressions determine the conditions of your world! The subconscious mind takes in feelings and then brings whatever those feelings are into form. In other words, if you decide you want to meet your soulmate, put those feelings into the subconscious mind, then the subconscious mind will bring that soulmate into form for you. It may sound farfetched, however, Neville Goddard had many seminars where people attested to manifesting wishes with the subconscious mind and these techniques.
Manifesting our Wishes
Remember, feelings can change your destiny. It is important to stay positive in all areas of life, and that does take a lot of practice and disipline. These simple steps will help you manifest your wishes in life or change your negative thoughts to positive thoughts, thereby, changing your life.
Before you fall asleep, those last 5 minutes are the most powerful. You are transitioning from conscious thoughts, to subconscious mind and then when you fall asleep into an unconscious state. These are the most powerful times to invoke feeling into the subconscious mind. So you want to fill your head with positive feelings. If you want to lose weight, see yourself at your ideal weight, just envision one photographic image in your mind of how you look when you lost weight, and then general feelings of of happiness, feeling healthy, having more energy, how it feels to buy new clothes, etc, and fall asleep with those positive feelings. What is going to happen is your subconscious mind will direct your steps in order to manifest your dream of being healthy and losing weight in your waking world.
If you want to manifest a new house, see every aspect of the house in one photographic type of picture and feel how wonderful it feels to be in the house, see the price as being perfect, feel how wonderful it is, how happy you are, etc. and fall asleep to that.
Techniques to Manifest your Wishes
1. Before you fall asleep pick one condensed single idea that illustrates your wish is happening now. Neville gave the example of a person wanting a promotion (the wish) and the single idea or picture was a man shaking his hand to congratulate him for the promotion. It’s important to use a single idea in your imagination rather than a motion picture of the event in various different acts, because the mind will wander and it one must let go of how it will happen, only that it did already happen. That is key. You visualize your wish is already in form.
2. Once you get this visual in your imagination you will resonate with the feelings. How does it feel to have a promotion? I feel happy, financially secure, valued, loved, etc. The secret is the feelings, as Neville tells us. The feelings are what the subconscious mind will pick up.
3. Drift off to sleep with the feelings of the wish fulfilled, as this is the time when the subconscious mind will go into a deep unconscious state and start to pick up all that you are feeding it as you fall into a sleeping state. Your subconscious mind has around 8 hours to marinate with these feelings.
4. The next day you should wake up feeling pretty happy and content. Continue to do this exercise every night until the wish you want is fulfilled. According to Neville, whatever you put into your subconscious mind before bedtime will materialize, since the subconscious mind is like a female womb at birthing.
Do this for at least 30 days or until your wish is fulfilled. Neville Goddard said he has 135 people at a seminar and 35 said the manifested what they wanted in 2 weeks, so the time-frame can be short or longer.

Phineas Quimby: The Father of New Thought
Phineas Parkhurst Quimby, (Feb 16, 1802 NH - Jan 16, 1866, Belfast, ME), American exponent of mental healing, who is generally regarded as the founder of the New Thought movement, a metaphysical healing theory. Phineas Quimby, often recognized as the father of the New Thought movement, was one of the first to propose the idea of mind-over-matter in the mid-19th century. He believed that illness originated in the mind and could be cured through changing one's beliefs. This perspective laid the groundwork for the concept of positive thinking and its impact on reality, forming the foundation of manifestation.
Prentice Mulford: The Law of Attraction
Prentice Mulford (April 5, 1834 – c. May 30, 1891) was an American literary author. In addition, he was pivotal in the development of the thought within the New Thought movement. I wrote a letter once outlining where I wanted to see myself in a year, and then I put the letter away. To my astonishment, I read the letter after the year was up, and everything I wrote on the letter came to pass. It proved to me the power of a written intention. This is a good example of manifesting something by writing it down.
d) Vision Boards
Creating a vision board is a powerful way to materialize one's dreams and aspirations. It is a collage of images, words, stickers, and phrases that represent the desired outcomes, serving as a constant reminder and source of motivation. It also helps to shape the subconscious mind with positive goals in order to navigate in a successful direction. Looking at the vision board daily helps to keep one's dreams at the forefront and keeps positive energy flowing.

Self-Love
Before you or I can love anyone, we have to love ourselves. It is imperative to love yourself. If you are resonating with self-loathing or negative thoughts about yourself, it will not bring you a positive outcome in love. Shift to using affirmations that affirm your love for yourself. I will list a few below, but the main affirmation is saying, I love you to yourself daily. This will start to penetrate your subconscious mind, who is the navigator of your life. Therefore, if you are resonating with self-love, you can put that energy out into the universe then that love will come back to you.
Remember, too, that you have all the love you need/want within you. At the very essence of your being is pure love. That love is always there, it’s just a matter of recognizing it. In our everyday busy lives, we don’t stop to think about the love within us, which truly is part of the fabric of our lives. However, the love within all of us is the nucleus of our existence and helps us navigate in life. It’s important to be aware of it, and if you choose to, you can put some thought in this area to help nurture the love within yourself. Don’t forget to share that love with those around you in your immediate family and in your entire world. Don’t let the love within you stay dormant. Share your love with those around you and feel this tremendous emotion on a daily basis, so you don’t feel so needy when you go out into the dating world.

Manifest Love
The thought of manifesting love is intriguing to a lot of single people. There is a universal need that everyone on this planet has. That need is to love and to be loved. Of course, love can be found in our family, children and friends. However, the love of a soulmate is priceless and enhances one’s life.
There is a song called, “I knew I loved you before I met you.” The song writers captured the very essence of what I am writing about in this article. This essence comes from positive thinking. Many famous people throughout history have written about positive visualization such as, Norman Vincent Peale, Carl Jung, Dr. David Hawkins, Dr. Wayne Dyer, and a host of others.
Here are a few lines from the song written by Jones, Daniel/Hayes, Darren Stanley, sung by Savage Garden, 1999.
I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe…I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life
What the song writer is saying is that the person used positive visualization to visualize their soul mate and actually bring the person of their dreams into their life. This might sound foreign to you, but trust me, from my own experience I know our minds are powerful beyond our wildest dreams. In other words, if you envision the person of your dreams, hold that in your mind; be very loving and kind, then there is a great possibility of connecting to your soul mate.
This is such a simple concept: to envision the person you want to meet, become that person, put out that energy into the universe and then sit back and wait. The main thing is to do it on a daily basis.
Positive Visualization
The first thing you want to do to manifest love is to write down the type of partner you are looking for, from personality, to their appearance, their face, hair, eyes, height, attributes, moral values, etc. See everything about this person in your mind. Visualize where you are, what you are doing, how this person smells, talks and laughs. There is no right or wrong way to do this, let it come naturally as you visualize the person of your dreams.
Now that you have a picture of the person you want to manifest, sit back and visualize this person and include what you feel while putting out this positive visualization. What I mean is think back to a time when you were totally in love and recreate those feelings in your visualization. The feelings are a big part of the manifestation. This is a powerful way to manifest love into your life. Simply visualize the person of your dreams, feel how loving this person is, and do this before you fall asleep each night, so it gets imbedded in your subconscious mind for 8 hours of sleep. Let these thoughts permeate your mind. We navigate in life with our subconscious mind therefore, putting this visualization in our subconscious thoughts is powerful. When you awake the next day, you will feel positive, but you will subconsciously navigate your life in a way that will allow you the opportunity to meet your future partner. I would suggest doing this visualization for at least 30 days.
Affirmations for Manifesting Love
Affirmations will help you continue to move in a positive direction in manifesting love. Here are some suggested affirmations for manifesting love:
I attract only healthy relationships.
I am thankful for all the love in my life.
I am in a joyous, intimate relationship with a person who loves me.
I am happy with a new relationship in my life.
My new partner is wonderful and is my soulmate.
I draw love and romance into my life now.
I am ecstatic that my manifestation of a soulmate is here.
You can say the above affirmations or use your own. The key is to say as many as you can daily. You can also post them on little stickers around your house as a reminder to say them.
Join the Single World
Now that you put all this energy out into the world, it’s time to move forward in ways that will help you attract your soulmate. I would suggest moving in a positive direction to places you can meet single people. Perhaps join a single meetup group in your area. Or go to a singles dance or take up dance lessons. Join a group of like-minded people, like a writing group or a singles travel group. Perhaps your place of worship has a singles meeting or maybe you can start one. Put yourself out there in areas where you have the opportunity to meet new single people. This will increase your chances of meeting your soulmate.
Gratitude
If you followed the above outline, it is time to let go of the outcome and stay in a state of gratitude. Be grateful for all the love you currently have in your life and sit back and wait in gratitude. It’s important to also be grateful for the love that may be coming into your life in the future, as if it is already here. For instance, you can resonate with the thought that I am grateful my soulmate is here. Just stay in a complete state of gratitude.
Studies have shown that feeling thankful can improve sleep, mood and immunity. Gratitude can decrease depression, anxiety, difficulties with chronic pain and risk of disease.
In conclusion, the ideas and theories above are worth trying. I do wish you love and much happiness as you keep moving forward in a positive manner in your quest to manifest love.

What is the chemistry of infatuation, you know, that high intense electricity between a man and woman? Have you ever met someone and in an instant you felt head over heals in love? Is it true love or infatuation? Let’s explore the types of chemistry in a relationship and true love vs infatuation.
Here is my relationship chemistry definition in scientific terms:
“High levels of dopamine and a related hormone, norepinephrine, are released during attraction in the infatuation stage. These chemicals make us giddy, energetic, and euphoric, even leading to decreased appetite and insomnia.”
These chemicals make us feel euphoric, so why wouldn’t we want to feel this in a relationship? Well, the answer to that question may surprise you.

Have you ever been mesmerized by a man/woman you just met with a high intense chemistry? Is it merely infatuation, a strong shot of chemistry, or true love? Did Cupid shoot his arrow bringing you true love forever or is this perhaps toxic?
Actually, infatuation and chemistry are essentially the same thing. And they are a very, very long way from real love.
According to Harville Hendrix, Ph.D., in his book, Keeping the Love You Find, chemistry or infatuation is actually an attraction to a person who combines:
The worst traits of our parents or childhood care takers to infatuate us
The negative traits that infatuate us and we possess but deny in ourselves
The traits that we find infatuating but have been repressed in us by our upbringing
The infatuating traits that society denies our gender
That person who infatuates us is, in fact, the last thing we consciously want. So, beware if you meet someone who reminds you of your mother or father because this could very well be a toxic start to a relationship.
Hendrix says we all seek our "Imago image," that is an unconscious image of the person our childhood programmed us to fall in love with or become infatuated with. The Imago is like a homing device that drives us to repeat ourselves, choosing over and over the facsimiles of our caretakers' worst traits. This explains why many of us continually meet the same type of man/woman when we are dating.
When we find ourselves saying, "You're just like my father or mother," this person who infatuates us is our Imago match.
For example, a man who is seeking a kind woman, just like the one that married his dad, is attracted to a woman at a party. Infatuation strikes! Why? He is unconsciously attracted to the way the woman strikes a pose or her manner of speaking; the way she is so pleasing and kind. He begins a conversation and infatuation strikes them both.
She is unconsciously attracted to his power and his take-charge air of authority. In short, he reminds her of her father, a no-nonsense, masculine type. You know, the one she could never please. He protectively puts his arm around her; she nestles his head on his shoulder. Together they contemplate true love and happiness forever. Love? No, chemistry and infatuation, yes!
We also seek an imago who possesses traits of our "Denied Self." These are negative traits from our parents that we cannot bear to recognize in our own behavior.
Hendrix states, "The anger that is so unsettling in your partner was unconsciously chosen by you not only because it reminds you of your mother, but to substitute for the anger you cannot admit to in yourself. Your perception of that anger is at least in part a projection onto your partner of your own inadmissible anger."
By choosing a partner with the traits we deny in ourselves such as compassion or courage, we can be a whole person without having to take responsibility for aspects of ourselves that make us uncomfortable. We seek in another person those traits that have been repressed in ourselves and steal them into our own personality.
Love has to develop over time, and is not something that happens in a week, or even a few months. Time is the answer to all our questions on love. Therefore, give your relationship time to settle into a long- lasting commitment, so it is healthy. You also want to build a foundation of trust and communication in friendship. The friendship stage is crucial to building a loving relationship.
Let’s explore healthy love. The short definition for the word "love" from on-line dictionary is as follows:
A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
What does the word love mean for you?
A very wise Deacon said this about love on a retreat I attended:
"There is a universal need to love and to be loved."
Every person on this planet has a need to love and to be loved.
The following meaning of love and friendship came out of the retreat as well.
Love: A desire to share your life with someone who is good and work for that person’s welfare and happiness.
Friendship: A deeply close relationship between two people with great trust strongly discovering the goodness and love in each other.
I think if you combine both definitions, love and friendship as indicated above, you will have a great definition of love combined.
My definition of love is: Love is when you feel a joy and excitement when you are around each other, with a deep friendship, respect, communication, trust and a mutual desire to make each other happy. For me, communication is the key to a healthy relationship.
I asked my good friend Janet what makes her and Mark’s 50-year marriage work? This is what she wrote back to me: "Mark and I discussed your query and we came up with this quote (mostly his)."
"The basic ingredient in our 50-year marriage is a love relationship based on mutual respect for each other. A couple who truly love and respect each other could never intentionally hurt each other’s feelings in word or action. Communication is also key. In addition, God has always been an important part of our marriage and our children's upbringing.”
In conclusion, love has to be nurtured and develops over time in a relationship. Infatuation or chemistry feels amazing; however, it is not healthy and it usually will not last. And when it wears off, one will seek it with another partner. Relationship chemistry is an illusion, in a sense that it appears to be quite amazing and yet it is toxic in a new relationship. One should run for the hills if they find themselves head over heels over someone. And…if you have high chemistry and the person you met does not, well, you have a recipe for disaster and heartache. It’s okay to have an attraction and some chemistry, but it is the high intense chemistry that is unhealthy.
Therefore, let your relationship grow in friendship and then in love over time and nurture it together with lots of respect, kindness, love and communication.

It conveys what she can contribute to the relationship and to him. Trust me when I tell you this is imperative to having a good write-up. When a man reads your profile and sees the way you will treat him, you are more likely to get a response. Of course, this all depends on whether he got past the pictures and actually reads your profile. Most profiles are a litany of the character traits the person possesses, but do not mention what one can contribute to the relationship and to their potential partner.
This gives you an edge. You want your profile to stand out among the crowd. It’s a competitive dating world out there, thousands upon thousands of men and women trying to find that one needle in the haystack.
Now, the same holds true in reverse. If I read a man’s profile and he says he is a gentleman, opens the door, and treats a woman with the respect and kindness she deserves, that is a good indication of his personality. Try to stay away from form-letter messages. They are very impersonal, and not a lot of effort is put into copying and pasting the same message. Quantity is not quality, and you want to attract someone of interest.

My initial thought on this was that this man was decent enough to respond and I was actually impressed with his dating etiquette. He is a true gentleman.
