How to use the Law of Attraction - Rachel Devine
The law of attraction is a phenomenon that many of us have heard about and some are familiar with it and some people are not. It is the idea that like attracts like and that our thoughts attract what we think about into our lives. It is based on the idea that thoughts, words, feelings, and actions bring about circumstances in life and can be changed by changing what we think about. This is where the power of positive thinking comes into play, especially if you want to attract positive situations into your life. I have done extensive research into the law of attraction and wrote about it in my book, Discover the Power of the Secret Within. I will outline, in simple terms, what the law of attraction is, the steps for the law of attraction and how to practice the law of attraction in your life. The law of attraction is actually broken into 3 laws. Let’s explore them, and I will elaborate on what this all means.
The 3 Laws of Attraction:
Like attracts like
The first law of attraction is like attracts like. The thoughts you think and the words you speak will come back to you. It is like being in an echo chamber; if you yell the word love, love comes back. Using positive affirmations is a way to put great energy out into the vast universe. The law of attraction is a philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person's life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes.
Nature Abhors a Vacuum
The second law of attraction is that Nature Abhors a Vacuum. In technical terms, this is based on the laws of thermodynamics. What this means is that it is impossible to create a completely empty space because atoms are always bouncing around and immediately fill any empty space. Simply put, if you clear a space in your drawing and it keeps getting filled with other things, it is a good example of what this second law means; if there is a gap, something will fill it. The second phrase expresses the idea that clearing space in your life allows room for something else to fill it.
The present is always perfect
The third law of attraction is that the present is always perfect and all manifestations are happening at once. The present moment is the only time that exists. When we are worrying about something in the future or lamenting over a past event that no longer exists, we are not in the present moment and therefore can't be enjoying it. We are in an illusion unless we are in the present moment. Take advantage of this moment to manifest your dreams and goals. Additionally, making an effort to shift into a state of gratitude or appreciation helps you harness the power of this law, which begins with seeing and feeling good in your body, heart, mind, and spirit. Living in the present moment means being grateful for what you have now and being open to new opportunities that may come along down the road.
The law of attraction is the idea that what you think, feel, and focus on attracts more of the same. For example, if you want to attract a soulmate, you need to resonate with positive, loving thoughts on what you want your soulmate to be like. The key is you have to resonate with the same character traits as what you seek. If you want to attract more money, focus on ways to make more money and ways to keep it. Also visualize having money and what you will do with that money. Remember, feelings play a big role in the law of attraction. You want to feel happy and content with your visualizations of attracting money or whatever you want to attract.
The Law of Attraction has been an ancient idea, and the concept of attraction is the foundation of many philosophies, religions, and New Age beliefs. It all started back in around 391 BC with Plato when he said, “Likes tend towards likes,” which equates to “like attracts like.”
Believe it or not, Jesus was also one of the first to speak about the law of attraction when he said, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
In this verse, Jesus basically is saying, as you pray you need to believe in your heart that you have already have what you desire. In other words, you need to think the thoughts and feel the emotions of the futuristic state you want. As per the LOA, this makes you a vibrational match to the thing that you desire.
Actually, it was William James who explained it in more scientific terms back in the 19th century. William James (1842–1910) was an American philosopher. He studied at Harvard University, where he became professor of philosophy and psychology. He is best known for his philosophical work, The Principles of Psychology (1890) and Varieties of Religious Experience (1902).
You may be familiar with William James and how he fits into the Law of Attraction. Dr. Wayne Dyer says that James is one of the most influential thinkers of his time.
William James was a very well-known philosopher and psychologist. James’ work on the law of attraction includes many ideas that are common today, but his original hypotheses were not popularly accepted until quite recently.
The LOA is a universal law, like gravity or the electric charge on a particle. It is magnetic in nature, like the ocean’s influence on the tide, with its magnetic force. It is an unseen force, like electricity, with its invisible power. LOA doesn't care whether or not you believe in it. You can reject it from your mind and deny it with your actions, but you can't hide from it, you can't evade it, and you can't forget about it. It is working in your life, whether you are conscious of it or not. It always worked in your life. The key is to have it work in a positive way. If you think back on negative experiences, you might correlate your mindset at the time as negative. If you think back on happy, positive times, you might correlate your mindset with being positive and happy at that time.
4 Steps to Use the Law of Attraction
Affirmations
Say positive affirmations several times every day and remember to feel what it would be like to obtain what you want.
I am in a loving relationship.
I am a magnet for money and it flows into my life now.
I have the job of my dreams.
My business is very successful.
I am healthy.
Visualizations
The next step is to visualize what you want. Just sit and see yourself in a loving relationship or good health and feel the feelings associated with being in that state. Do this several times a day for at least 10 minutes at a time. Also, surround yourself with pictures of the visualization, or better yet, create a vision board. A vision board is where you will post pictures and words on construction paper or a thin board that correlate with your vision for your future. There are plenty of examples you can get online.
Gratitude
Stay in gratitude. Write a gratitude list daily on things you are already grateful for and for things that you want to be grateful for. List at least 5 things you are grateful for daily.
Meditate
Before you fall asleep each night, resonate and use one picture in your mind of what you want to attract into your life and fall asleep with those thoughts, feelings, and affirmations meditating in your mind. You are going to resonate with those thoughts for 8 hours, and you want those nighttime thoughts to be positive.
In conclusion, no matter how you slice it, the law of attraction is a phenomenon that is here to stay. It’s part of the rhythm of nature. The question is, now that you have all this awareness on the Law of Attraction, what will you do with this information? Will you shift your thoughts, feelings, and speech to positive ones, or just ignore this and go on with your life as it is?
The choice is always up to you.
Don’t Quit your Daydream: 7 Steps to Manifest your Dreams - Rachel Devine
Life can take us down many different paths. We can go on a path of daily routine, day in and day out of doing the same thing. Or we can recognize a long-forgotten dream sitting on the back burner of our lives that can potentially change the course of our lives. Our hopes and dreams matter. However, sometimes we feel like everyone else around us is more important than ourselves. Self-doubt can also plague us with feeling stifled. I say, quit your daydream! It’s never too late to start fresh with any idea. You can manifest your dreams into reality.
Let’s get started and look into our daydreams.
Our dreams and goals matter. You deserve to live your life on purpose. I say, don’t quit your daydream! It’s never too late to start fresh with any idea. You have the power to turn your dreams into reality.
Let’s get started and look into how we can manifest our dreams.
1. Your daydream
Just recognizing a dream or goal you want to fulfill is the first step to attaining it. I had a manuscript on the back burner for years and finally brought it to the forefront and worked on it. I eventually got my second book self-published, called The Third Road. It was a great achievement and brought me from living on a path of daily routine to branching out to a fulfilling purpose in life. That purpose had a domino effect on other areas of my life where I was able to branch out to other areas with my writing.
2. Your purpose
We all have a reason for being born. It’s a matter of looking at what you love doing and what brings you joy. Your purpose is at the center of what you love doing in life. Your purpose has to have two elements: you have to love doing it, and it has to serve humanity in some capacity. I love writing and helping people, so that has been incorporated into my purpose of writing. Setting time aside to bring your purpose to life will bring you much joy. Just sit and think about what brings you joy, fulfillment and happiness that you love doing. Take your time with this and see what transpires.
Some ways to get started.
Do journaling to discover your purpose in life.
Read books, blogs, watch talks on finding your calling. See what resonates.
Research degree programs, workshops, coaches related to potential paths of purpose.
Volunteer in areas connected to your interests and observe how these experiences make you feel.
3. Positive visualization
Positive visualization involves intentionally developing a picture in your mind to practice the performance, feeling, or behavior you desire. The American Psychological Association Dictionary refers to this process as “mentally rehearsing” to enhance performance. Once you decide your purpose in life, visualize it daily. The power of positive thinking is not just some lofty words; it is a surefire way to manifest your dreams into reality. You can visualize what you want to manifest in your daily meditations as a good start. Positive visualization will keep you on track, as you move towards your purpose in life. Just picture in your mind what you want to manifest for a few minutes each day.
4. Manifesting your dreams
The most powerful part of manifesting your dreams is using feelings. Feelings penetrate the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is like the motherboard of a computer. It directs 95% of your decisions and actions in life. Therefore, it’s important to visualize the outcome you want in order for it to penetrate the subconscious mind. As you fall asleep at night, put one visualized picture in your mind of what you want to manifest. For instance, if you want to write a book, put an image of a book that you authored, as if you already wrote it and had it published. Then fall asleep with the feelings of what it feels like to have a published book. You would feel accomplished, fulfilled, happy, etc. The feelings will penetrate the subconscious mind for eight hours as you sleep. The sleep state is powerful because it is the unconscious state where you can penetrate the subconscious mind, where all dreams eventually manifest into reality. The key is to picture one thing as if it already happened and resonate with the feelings.
5. Positive Affirmations
Positive affirmations are positive phrases, or statements that are used to challenge negative thoughts. People can use positive affirmations to motivate them, encourage positive changes in their life, create a goal, or boost their self-esteem. Positive affirmations are a way to put positive thoughts in your subconscious mind, because they are repeated over and over again. This offsets some negative thoughts that get embedded in our minds. Living a life on purpose entails being positive and affirmations will help you get there.
6. Game Plan
Setting a game plan is imperative to achieving any goal in life. It’s a pathway to get you to your goal or purpose. Once you are able to establish a game plan, you can set some small goals in the direction of developing your purpose. Taking small steps to get to where you want to be in life is a good start. A ‘to do list’ will keep you on track with your game plan. Just list a daily plan that will move you in the direction of your purpose in life.
7. Turn self-doubt into self-confidence
Self-doubt is usually a culprit in stopping one from following their bliss in life. I was plagued with self-doubt many years ago when I started writing. It’s so important to shift away from self-doubt to self-confidence. You can do that by shifting your focus to doing good things for yourself. Show yourself that you are worth a massage, or an expensive dinner out, or flowers, a new outfit, or box seats at a baseball game. When you treat yourself with worthiness, that will carry over to build self-confidence. Take time for self-reflection in this area and put action behind the outcome.
When my self-doubt plagued me years ago, I wrote a poem as a way to help me overcome it. This is the first poem I ever wrote.
When you can feel the warmth of the sunshine but cannot see it.
Or feel the coolness of a gentle breeze but cannot grasp it.
When our dreams are just a fleeting thought, that no longer matters.
Remember to deeply reach within. To stretch your mind,
to awaken the real you, as you say goodnight to self-doubt
and the inner blindness.
Try your own poem, it’s fun and doesn’t have to be perfect.
Remember, you can do whatever you put your mind to. Just take baby steps in the direction of obtaining your dreams.
In conclusion, remember one thing. If you allow your purpose to flourish, you will be fulfilling a gift for yourself and humanity. You want to look back on your life in later years and perhaps see a legacy you left behind. It doesn’t have to be a big lofty legacy, just one that helped someone who needed it. Life can take us down many roads, but the road to fulfilling your purpose and manifesting your dreams, is the best road ever!

A Valentine’s Day Dream: How to Attract your Soulmate - Rachel Devine
We all, at one time or another, have dreams of meeting our soulmate. The person who will make all our dreams come true, sweep us off our feet, take us to a faraway land, and live happily ever after. This is reminiscent of the 1960’s movie Cinderella. What a classic movie that was. It gave every little girl the hope of one day meeting her prince charming and living happily ever after. However, the reality is that many of us make poor choices in marriage partners, and our dreams get shattered. Some may ask themselves why they are so bad at choosing a partner in life. Of course the answer lies within. Our Valentine's Day dream can only happen if we are at the same place we want our partner to be. In other words, we attract what we are. If we are in a broken, lonely, or depressed state, chances are we will meet someone who is broken, lonely, and depressed. This is the law of attraction, which says that ‘like attracts like.’ It’s like yelling out your emotions in an echo chamber; what you yell out will come back. So, the key to meeting your Valentine’s dream is to become what you want to meet. Let’s look at ways to attract your soulmate.

This is the law of attraction, which says that ‘like attracts like.’ It’s like yelling out your emotions in an echo chamber; what you yell out will come back. So, the key to meeting your Valentine’s dream is to become what you want to meet. Let’s look at ways to attract your soulmate.
First things first
The first step is to do a complete analysis of who you are and what you want. You can start by making a list of all the attributes you want in a soulmate. List everything, from their appearance to their moral values to their personality to all the qualities you are looking for. Then, take the list and check off how many of these qualities you have. Again, like attracts like. If you want to meet a kind, generous, and loving soulmate, you have to resonate and act with kindness, generosity, and love towards everyone you encounter, not just family and friends, but the customer service person who got you angry and the clerk at the supermarket. This is one of the process of the art of finding true love.
Visualization
Visualization is the most powerful way to manifest anything in your life. The most powerful time to manifest is just as you are falling asleep at night, because you are going into sleep mode, which is an unconscious state, and this is the time when you can reprogram the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind runs your life 95% of the time, so it makes sense to feed it what you want to accomplish in life.
Start by putting one picture of your soulmate in your head, in a situation that already depicts you in a relationship. You may want to picture your soulmate sitting at dinner with you or perhaps giving you a romantic kiss. Use only one picture and not a video of the whole evening. Then, fall asleep with the incredible feelings of being in love—feeling secure, happy, content, and filled with joy. The feelings are what penetrate the subconscious mind. Do this for at least 30 nights. You will feel more loving the next morning and resonate with those feelings, and that will help attract your soulmate.
Gratitude
Living in gratitude is a well-kept secret in life. It helps us attain more of what we are grateful for. The more you are grateful, the more positive energy you are putting out into the world, the more positive energy will come back to you. Again, this is the law of attraction. I suggest writing or mentally listing at least 10 things you are grateful for every morning. It’s a great way to start your day on the right foot.
Affirmations for Finding Love
Positive affirmations for finding love is another way to penetrate the subconscious mind from a negative to a positive.
Positive affirmations are positively loaded phrases or statements that are used to replace unhelpful or negative thoughts. People can use positive affirmations to motivate them, encourage positive changes in their lives, or boost their self-esteem, but they also reprogram the subconscious mind. They are especially helpful if you have a negative thought come out of left field, What you want to do is immediately overpower the negative thought with a positive affirmation.
For example, if you keep saying, “I am too old to meet my soulmate,” You want to change that around to, “I will meet my soulmate, and age is not a factor.” Or, “I never meet a healthy partner,” can be changed around to “I met my soulmate who is perfect for me.”
In closing, your soulmate is just a thought away and resides within you. Sometimes we search outside ourselves when, all along, what we are searching for is right at our fingertips. Sure, we can be our own prince charming or Cinderella, but it is a blessing to meet a partner to spend the rest of our lives with in our happily ever after dream. Dreams do manifest into reality when you have the right tools. It’s simply a matter of resonating with exactly what you want to attract in life and then falling asleep with that dream.

Let’s take a look at 5 steps to successfully manifest your goals and dreams.
We all have dreams and goals. Some are on the back burner of our lives, and some are at the forefront, just waiting to expand. Our dreams and goals matter. They shape our lives and help define who we are. The first step is to recognize what you want in life. Sit back and think about what you want to achieve in your life time. Setting clear intentions through written goals, combined with daily visualization and affirmation practices, provides a potent game plan for manifesting your dreams into reality.
Let’s take a look at 5 steps to successfully manifest your goals and dreams.
Define your Dream
First, articulate your dreams and ideal life visions in a journal. Outline a 1-year game plan for one specific goal that might encompass areas like career, relationships, self-improvement, health, hobbies, or financial aims. Make them measurable and time-bound. A clear game plan is essential to achieving your goals. Start with focus on one goal. You might want to write a book, start a business, meet your soulmate or perhaps get healthy.
Writing out your goals clarifies desires and implants them into your subconscious mind. As motivational speaker Tony Robbins said, “Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.”
Getting started
Once you define your goal and set a game plan, ask yourself these three questions:
What do I want to accomplish with my goal?
Where do I see myself in a year from now with this goal?
What can I do NOW to get to where I want to be in a year?
The answers to these questions are important to move you forward with your goal. Take your time with answering them.
Affirm your goals
Choose one goal to focus affirmations on. Create affirmations pertaining to your chosen goal positively in the present tense as if your dream already happened.
Examples:
“I am now living my dream life completely aligned to my purpose.”
“I attracted my ideal soulmate into my life.”
“I am now achieving a six-figure income doing what I love.”
“I am healthy and at my ideal weight.”
“My new business is thriving.”
Recite these affirmations out loud daily and as often as you can. Conjure up as many positive feelings as you can, that you achieved your desired outcome. These feelings will penetrate your subconscious mind. The feelings are what the subconscious mind embraces and brings your dreams to fruition.
Visualize Success
Spend 5–10 minutes daily visualizing your goals fulfilled as if they were already here. Picture yourself living that ideal scene; make it as vivid and detailed as possible. Immerse all your senses in the visualization. It is especially powerful at night, just before you go to sleep.
As pioneering psychologist William James stated, “Our belief at the beginning of a doubtful undertaking is the one thing that ensures the successful outcome.” Believe and perceive your dreams as already achieved. Relinquish any self-doubt and move forward with confidence and self-motivation. You have the power to make any dream a reality.
Take inspired action
Affirmations and visualization alone don’t manifest goals. You must also take concrete steps each day to progress towards your dream, while maintaining the belief that your dream is already occurring on an energetic level.
A "to-do list” is powerful and will help you stay on track and take action towards your goal. Make sure your list is in line with your game plan. List out the things you need to do in a day to move forward with manifesting your dream and tick them off as you complete them.
Align behaviors with your goals and make positive choices in the direction of achieving your dream. Act upon sudden inspired ideas. Stay open to unexpected paths that may open up. Look for anything coming into your life that can help you. With focused belief and strategic action, your goals will start to materialize.
In closing, by defining desires clearly, imprinting them into your subconscious expectations through repetitive affirmations, visualization, and feelings and taking aligned actions, you mobilize universal forces to birth your goals into tangible form. All of these actions will send out powerful positive energy into the universe that will come back to you. It’s called the law of attraction, and this power will help you achieve your goals and manifest your dreams into reality.

Inner Child Healing Book: Let it Begin with You - Rachel Devine
You might not realize it, but your inner child is screaming for help. It comes in the form of triggers that come from left field during an argument. Or knee-buckling fear when it comes to romantic relationships. Or anger that comes unexpectedly and is unleashed to innocent bystanders. These are all examples of the inner child screaming for help.
My new book, Discover the Power of the Secret Within - Healing your Inner Child to Manifest your Dreams, is a way to heal your inner child.
Make no mistake about it, it would be extremely hard to manifest your goals and dreams with all of that stuff going on with your inner child. My book is all about healing your inner child to clear the way to manifest your dreams. Your dreams do matter. They are important and they should be played out. Life is too short to get to a point at the end and realize you had dreams on the back burner that never came to fruition.
Let’s look into this a little deeper with an excerpt from my new book from the preface:
My book is about creating yourself anew. It is about discovering the power of the secret within, which is elusive and mysterious. The power within you is a well-kept secret. Most people will not learn about it in their lifetime. It has positively transformed millions of lives. Those who discover the power of the secret within will be richer than any successful billionaire in the world.
Do you have long-forgotten dreams that you want to make a reality? Do you want to lose weight, start a business, find your soulmate, get a promotion, get healthy, or end an addiction? Well, now is the time to move forward and make your dreams a reality. I will show you exactly how to do this. Make no mistake about it, you have this miraculous power within to create your destiny.
However, there can be blocks to realizing your dreams. There is another power called the subconscious mind that is in charge of almost every decision, every move, and every thought you make in life. Most people have no idea why they have a chip on their shoulder, or why they keep meeting the same type of dysfunctional romantic partner, or why they have issues at work, or why they have deep-rooted resentments, and the answer lies within. Discovering this aspect of yourself with awareness will empower you to transform your life in a positive way.
Your inner child is part of the power of your subconscious mind, that has been picking up messages way before it was able to fully process what was going on (mentally and emotionally). The subconscious mind holds all your emotions, memories, experiences, traumas, and beliefs from the past. This dual force, the subconscious mind and inner child, drives your life 95% of the time! This is an incredible revelation. I will explore this dual action-packed power in one of my chapters.
I will also link a distinct pattern with our addictions to early childhood interactions and show you why it plays a big factor in determining perhaps your own addictions, or as I call them, vices. I will also show you ways to heal from these vices.
I will help you come to the empowerment state of taking back your life and teach you how to manifest your dreams into reality.
I will also explore grief and how it relates to all of this. Do you ever wonder why losing a beloved dog, or cat, or any kind of pet, makes a person feel as if the grief is more devastating than losing a parent? There is a reason behind that intense grief, which I will address in one of my chapters. Furthermore, not only will you come to understand it, but you will be able to deal better with the pain and grief of losing a loving pet.
We all have choices. One choice is to continue to go about your life in a way that is oblivious to the power of the inner workings, whereas you can just continue to live in an unconscious state of daily routine, accepting limitations in intimate relationships, as well as in your career and other areas, and perhaps allowing fears to dictate what direction your life goes in.
Or, you can become acutely aware of what is going on with your inner child, and your subconscious mind, each a driving force, and actually change the course of your journey in life. You can learn how to change the way it has a negative impact to a positive impact on your life. Knowledge is power and awareness is the key. I will show you how to change the subconscious imprint that the inner child developed onto your brain in childhood, so you will be liberated from the chains of the negative, inner child influence. This will give you an edge in all areas of your life from dating to career decisions to family interactions.
One of the reasons why dating is so dysfunctional is due to inner dynamics and I will go into very specific details on this and show you ways to overcome this dilemma.
My goal is to help you move forward in areas of your life you thought were not possible. You will also learn the powerful secret on how to shift the subconscious mind to create exactly what you want in life. I will explain, step by step, how this powerful secret within will help you create your destiny. You have the power to manifest anything in life, from success, to wealth, to love, to good health, and so much more. I will guide you on how you can do this. It may sound foreign to you at this time. However, by the time you finish reading this book, you will have an amazing awareness and knowledge of the power of the secret within.
Whatever the lessons you receive from reading my book will be tailor-fit for your needs. Although I am the messenger, the entity that opens the heart and mind to life lessons is your higher power, and ultimately it is between you and your higher power to learn whatever you need to learn.
You picked up this book for a reason. You are exactly where you need to be in life and something has drawn you to this amazing awareness and potential healing. Therefore, explore the endless possibilities of the lessons that will come out of the awareness you will learn from reading this book. Don’t allow this moment to slip away without grabbing the opportunity for growth, happiness, and power. This amazing opportunity has come to you for a reason. Take advantage of this information that will give you an edge in your life.
The inner child is powerful beyond words and the fact that most of society is walking around in an unconscious state, oblivious to the power the inner child has on them, is unfortunate. My book is the equalizer and will help you comprehend the dynamics of the inner workings in a way that will invoke much healing. I will bring you to an expansive awareness that will act as a wake-up call that literally can transform your life for the better. Additionally, allow yourself this precious gift of waking up to a reality where you can create the life you dream of.
End of excerpt.

Your daydream
Just recognizing a dream or goal you want to fulfill in the future is a first step to attaining it. I had a manuscript on the back burner for years and finally brought it to the forefront and worked on it. I worked hard on it and got my second book self-published, called The Third Road. It was a great achievement and brought me from living on a path of daily routine to branching out to a fulfilling purpose in life.
Manifesting your dreams
The most powerful part of manifesting your dreams is using feelings. Feelings penetrate the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is like the motherboard of a computer. It directs 95% of your decisions and actions in life. Therefore, it’s important to visualize the outcome you want. As you fall asleep at night, put one visualized picture in your mind of what you want to manifest. For instance, if you want to write a book, put an image of a book that you authored, as if you already wrote it and had it published. Then fall asleep with the feelings of what it feels like to have a published book. The feelings will penetrate the subconscious mind for eight hours as you sleep. The sleep state is powerful because it is the unconscious state where you can penetrate the subconscious mind, where all dreams eventually manifest into reality.
Self-doubt
Self-doubt is usually a culprit in stopping one from following their bliss in life. I was plagued with self-doubt many years ago when I started writing. In fact, I wrote a poem as a way to help me overcome it. This is the first poem I ever wrote.
When you can feel the warmth of the sunshine but cannot see it.
Or feel the coolness of a gentle breeze but cannot grasp it.
When our dreams are just a fleeting thought, that no longer matters.
Remember to deeply reach within. To stretch your mind
to awaken the real you as you say goodnight to self-doubt
and the inner blindness.
In conclusion, remember one thing. If you allow your purpose to flourish, you will be fulfilling a gift for yourself and humanity. Life can take us down many roads, but the road to fulfilling your purpose and manifesting your dreams, is the best road ever!

What is your Inner Child? Discover the Power of the Secret Within - Rachel Devine
You might ask yourself, what exactly is the Inner Child and how does it affect me? I will explain all you need to know about what the inner child is and how it affects you in this article. I will use an important excerpt from my new book, Discover the Power of the Secret Within - Healing your Inner Child to Manifest your Dreams!
The dynamics of our inner world are pretty intense. However, as I open up the nucleus of the inner child you will see how easy it really is to comprehend.
I will start from the beginning. What transpired in our childhood determines how we develop as adults. Some of the things that transpired in childhood will plague you as an adult with things like alcoholism, drug or food addictions, anger issues, intimacy issues, fear of abandonment, commitment issues, claustrophobia, sexual disorders, continuous relationship failures, workaholism, paranoid tendencies, narcissism, fears, etc. These issues get embedded in the inner child’s psyche and carries into adulthood. This all stems from the roots that took place with the inner child and what went on in your early childhood.

Inner Child Definition:
So, what does it mean when I refer to the “Inner Child”?
The inner child is our feelings, energies, needs, vulnerabilities, experiences, our neurological imprint. Simply put, the inner child is part of your personality that still feels and acts like a child.
The inner child that developed in each of our individual childhoods is what navigates our subconscious mind and drives our decisions in life, without realizing it. The subconscious mind holds all your experiences, traumas, and family interactions. The subconscious mind is the navigator of most of your life and is very powerful. In fact, the subconscious mind is in charge of 95% of your life, that includes your actions, decisions, and pretty much all that you do in a day.
When we struggle to move forward in life, or to get out of a bad relationship, or we struggle to start a love relationship, or we cower down in arguments, all of these decisions are coming from the subconscious mind of the inner child. That imprint that was embedded in our mind at different developmental stages is ingrained in our subconscious mind and our adult intellect tries to reason with certain decisions we make, but usually will lose out to the fear or insecurity of the inner child. And most people are oblivious to this conflict that is going on within them and have no clue as to why they make certain decisions that are unhealthy for them. Make no mistake about it, when I say, “subconscious mind,” it means we are totally oblivious to what is happening in that part of our psyches.
Stages of the Inner Child
Let’s look at this in stages. There are four important developmental stages of the inner child.
The first one is the infancy stage. This is the co-dependent stage from 0 to 2 years old where we are completely dependent on our parents for survival. This is the stage where we need a lot of care, nurturing, and love. It’s a time in our lives that we depend solely on our parents for survival.
The preschool age from 2 to 4 years old is the stage of counter-dependence. This stage is often referred to as “the terrible twos.” This is a time when the child wants and needs to assert their ability to interact with their environment. The child is gaining his or her autonomy from co-dependence.
From 4 to 7 years old, is the independence stage. At this time, a child is becoming independent and doesn’t need his or her parents to do everything, and the child becomes more independent of them.
At seven years old the child is at an inter-dependence stage of being, which is much more independent from their parents than previous years, and pretty much can do most things for themselves.
All these developmental stages are a crucial time in a child’s life, and if a child does not get their fundamental needs met, there will be issues that develop later on in adulthood.
Inner Child Relationships
How we learned to love from birth to seven years old will determine our subconscious imprint that gets embedded in our brain. When we get into adulthood, we attract those people who fulfill our innermost subconscious thoughts. This imprint from childhood is what we navigate with when seeking out a partner in life. If you are wondering why you are having a hard time finding the right partner, look no further than your inner child for the answer. You can improve your love-life with some knowledge about the inner child, that will help you navigate the dating world successfully.
Example of Inner Child Tantrum:
It is important to understand the dynamics of the inner child with an example:
I will never forget this incident, which is an example of fears of abandonment from childhood. These fears develop when we don’t get our fundamental needs met, or we are emotionally abandoned by our parents because of their own dysfunctions.
I was walking my dog, Luke, at the time, and there was a white SUV stopped at the corner for the stop sign. The window was open and I could hear this man screaming at someone on the phone saying:
“You are never home, we don’t eat together anymore, you don’t cook, you are such a witch” (although he used the b word), and he was berating her.
I am sure the more he yelled and became angry the more she retreated and wanted to stay away from him. It was a vicious circle. And I thought to myself, all he wants to say to her is that he is lonely and feels abandoned and would like to spend more time with her. But I suspect his inner child, feeling hurt and being triggered by her pulling away, is setting off his fear of abandonment issues, so he is lashing out with intense anger, reverting to the way he behaved as a child. He was trying to get his needs met and she was pulling away, so his anger became out of control. The fear of abandonment starts with fear and morphs into intense anger.
This is just another example of how the inner child wreaks havoc in our relationships and is in charge and very powerful. It dictates how we behave in certain circumstances. It controls us in a way that we are totally oblivious to. It subconsciously navigates our entire life. This man screaming at his partner is just labeled as temperamental and he had no clue that what took root in childhood determines his temperament as an adult.
Another Inner Child example
I think most of us can relate to this example of road rage. When someone cuts me off on the road, I go from fear to anger in an instant. The reason is because fear from childhood rears its ugly head and the person who cut me off has triggered that fear, which usually instantly morphs to anger. I find myself sitting in my car ranting and raving about almost having an accident and in that moment my inner child is dictating my angry words and actions.
In closing, I want to say that there are ways to reprogram the subconscious mind and change the negative imprint of the inner child. You also have the power to manifest your goals and dreams with this process of reprogramming. This book is about creating yourself anew. It is about discovering the power of the secret within, which is elusive and mysterious. The power within you is a well-kept secret. Most people will not learn about it in their lifetime. It has positively transformed millions of lives. Those who discover the power of the secret within will be richer than any successful billionaire in the world. Therefore, let’s dive into this intriguing notion in detail.
In closing, I want to tell you I am so excited about getting my book published. It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears, but I did it! I self-published my book on KDP, which means I did everything, from the cover, to the interior, and even to some of the editing! The few people that read my book already have been impacted positively by the powerful message. My book has valuable information that most people won’t learn in a lifetime. Embrace this moment, the only one we have, and get my book so you will be among those fortunate people who learn the valuable secret of the power within!

“The purpose of life is to discover your gift. The meaning of life is to give your gift away,” advised philosopher David Viscott. Your passions contain pointers to the gifts only you can give. Let’s explore what’s your passion?
Your Interests and Talents
What activities energize you and what skills come naturally? Make a list of your interests, strengths, and talents. Common themes will emerge that reveal core passions. Pay attention to what really makes you feel passionate in life. Also, think about what you love doing. What you love doing is also at the core of your purpose in life.
Trying New Experiences
Step outside your comfort zone to experiment with new hobbies, classes, groups, and adventures related to your passions. Join a cooking course, photography club, or an art class, or perhaps a creative writing workshop. Actively sampling the array of possibilities will help you uncover your passion in life. This is the start to transforming your life with meaning.
Immersing Yourself
Don’t just dabble in potential passions, but fully immerse yourself to see what resonates. Spend a summer volunteering at an animal shelter if you love animals. Study jazz piano if that lights you up. Join an extensive art class. Your most vital passions will emerge and you will feel like you are coming back to a familiar home. This will bring you much happiness.
Reconnecting with Childhood Joy
Think back to what activities deeply engaged you as a child. Was it painting, building treehouses, being around animals, or putting on shows? Revisiting these childhood passions reminds you of who you are at your core. Do a short meditation on what life was like as a child and just let your thoughts focus on your childhood and see what comes up in your thoughts.
Purposeful Planning
Once you’ve identified a primary passion, strategically align your life with it. Make time for immersing yourself in what you love daily. Set big goals around how to contribute your talents to the world. Integrate your passion into career, relationships and lifestyle intentionally. Start up a new business, or volunteer your time, or perhaps you want to become a life coach. Whatever you are passionate about, you can start to make strives to bring to the world. The joy will be in the discovery, as well as the journey.
Benefits of Living Passionately
Greater happiness, fulfillment and life satisfaction
Improved self-esteem and sense of identity
Increased motivation, energy, and resilience
Reduced stress and stronger immunity
Reinvigorated sense of adventure and play
Closer connections and enjoyment of others

In Dr. Wayne Dyer’s book, Excuses Begone, Dr. Dyer defined passion as: “A vigorous enthusiasm that you feel deep within you. It propels you in a direction that seems motivated by a force beyond your control. It's the inner excitement of being on the right path, doing what you know you were meant to do.”
As mythologist Joseph Campbell advised, “Follow your bliss and doors will open where there were no doors before.”
When your life aligns with inner passion, you thrive and flourish in wondrous ways. Discovering your passion in life will bring you much happiness and inner peace. Let passion light the path to transform your life to an enrichment beyond your wildest dreams. This guide will help you manifest your dreams into your reality.

5 Ways to Get Out of a Rut - Live your Life with Intention - Rachel Devine
Far too often life becomes defined by mindless routine devoid of any deeper meaning or purpose. Picture life on a metaphoric hamster wheel, where the hamster runs furiously staying in the same spot. Or picture yourself on a treadmill, walking furiously, and not getting anywhere. I understand this concept of standing still, since I lived a lot of my life in that manner. In order to find true happiness, it’s important to live a life of intention.
Living with the power of intention and being guided by your core values, committing to mindful action, and defining a vision for yourself, will open the doorway to greater meaning, fulfillment and purpose in your life, which will reap much happiness and inner joy.
As motivational speaker Tony Robbins said, “Passion, without purpose, is meaningless.” Orienting your daily life around your passions and the impact you wish to have instills significance into even simple moments and tasks.

Living by Design
Famous spiritual author Dr. Wayne Dyer wrote a book, The Power of Intention, that gives us a clear guide on living life on purpose. He advises that “Purposeful living requires making conscious choices and then fully accepting responsibility for your life circumstances.” Don’t settle for drifting through life on autopilot. Instead, make conscious deliberate choices aligned to what matters most to you.
Here are two more relevant, The Power of Intention quotes from Dr. Wayne Dyer:
"When your purpose is in alignment with the truth, you are filled with strength, enthusiasm, and compassion."
This quote emphasizes how living according to your true purpose fills you with energy and enthusiasm. A purpose aligned life feels right.
"Your natural state is to be loving, giving, compassionate, patient, and joyful. When you identify with the energy of intention, you'll find that this will be your everyday reality."
This quote suggests that intentionally manifesting a vision for a meaningful, purpose-driven life allows your natural state of love, compassion and joy to flow more freely through your everyday experiences.
In his book The Power of Intention, Dr. Wayne Dyer encourages readers to get in touch with their deepest desires and commit fully to manifesting them into reality through focused intention, Japa meditation, living in a loving state, and service. Aligning yourself to your authentic purpose is one of the keys to a life of meaning.
I recommend you build routines infused with practices like meditation, exercising your creativity, immersing yourself in nature, learning new skills, being of service to others, and spending quality time with loved ones. A schedule lacking meaning drains energy over time.
Staying Present Through Mindfulness
A crucial aspect of intentional living involves maintaining mindfulness by cultivating presence and focus. As Louise Hay said, “The past has absolutely nothing to do with the present moment. Only in this moment can you create your future.”
Stay rooted in the moment through paying attention to your senses, thoughts, and emotions, without judgment. Saying a prayer will put you right in the moment, as well as taking three deep breaths. Make regular tasks more mindful like, walking or eating with full intention. All you have to do is really pay full attention to the task at hand.
Manifesting Your Ideal Future
Begin with the end in mind and envision the personal, interpersonal, and professional goals you aim to achieve. Using the power of visualization, you can create your ideal future. It takes some practice, but it is worth the effort. The main focus is on what you want to manifest and then resonate with the feelings of already having what you want already in your world.
Neville Goddard tells us in his book, Feeling is the Secret, that the feelings are what manifest our dreams into reality. Therefore, as you fall asleep each night, put one picture in your mind of what you want to manifest in your future and fall asleep with resonating with the feelings of already having this goal already manifested in your life. You have the power to manifest your dreams into reality.
Key Benefits of Living Life with Intention
Increased happiness, life satisfaction, and self-esteem
Reduced stress, anxiety, and depression
Greater resilience and ability to cope with hardships
Improved cardiovascular and brain health
Higher quality and more supportive personal relationships
Deeper sense of meaning, internal coherence, and joy
Heightened motivation, drive, and energy
Purpose
Dr. Wayne Dyer was very clear on this statement regarding the power of intention.
“If you aren't doing what you love and loving what you do, your power of intention is weakened. You attract into your life more of the dissatisfaction that isn't the face of love. Consequently, more of what you don't love will appear in your life.”
Therefore, it’s crucial to do what you love doing, or find your purpose in life. The following three questions can help you determine what your purpose is:
What do you love doing?
Will it help humanity in some way?
Do you feel passionate about the purpose that has surfaced for you?
Whatever your answers are to these three questions will determine what your purpose in life is. Don’t let it sit in the recess of your mind and germinate like the hamster on the wheel of nowhere. Start doing what you love and see if you can make it part of your purpose in life.
In conclusion, reorienting your days around practices and interactions infused with purpose and presence unlocks your potential to live boldly by design. When how you spend your precious time and energy aligns with your deepest values, you will manifest your highest self and in turn bring much passion and joy into your life.

The Power of the Subconscious Rachel Devine
The subconscious mind, a potent force within us, is consistently shaping our reality based on the beliefs and thoughts it receives. Many scholars, including Neville Goddard, have long suggested that the subconscious mind's power, in conjunction with the universe's energy and higher consciousness, is the driving force behind manifestation.
The subconscious mind is the commander of your life. You can create your future with the right tools. You might think that the idea that your thoughts can create your future is something out of a B rated scifi movie. However, once you are aware of the secret power within, you will see the truth about the power of the subconscious mind come to reality and your view on life will never be the same.

Neville Goddard's View on the Subconscious Mind and Manifestation
Neville Goddard, a leading voice in the metaphysical field, believed in the power of the subconscious mind to manifest our reality. His central premise, as illustrated in his book "Feeling Is the Secret," is that the subconscious mind creates reality based on the feelings it receives.
Goddard stated, "The subconscious does not originate ideas but accepts as true those which the conscious mind feels to be true and, in a way known only to itself, objectifies the accepted ideas."
Goddard's teachings suggest that by impressing the subconscious mind with the feeling of the wish fulfilled before sleep, we can align our subconscious beliefs with our conscious desires. According to Goddard, this alignment prompts the universe, or higher consciousness, to bring our desires into reality. To go one step further, Goddard says, in essence, whatever you put into your subconscious mind in the form of feelings, before bedtime, will manifest to form.
The Subconscious Mind and Higher Consciousness
According to many spiritual and philosophical teachings, the subconscious mind is part of a greater universal consciousness, referred to as God, Source, or the Universe. I proudly call it God, which is the power behind manifestation in all its glory. This higher consciousness, or God, is considered the fabric of reality, and our subconscious mind is believed to be a conduit connecting us to this broader reality. In other words, what we feed the subconscious mind, with feelings, gets imbedded in the subconscious and God brings it to form. This is the secret of creation in so many ways.
When we align our subconscious beliefs with our conscious desires, we're essentially sending a signal to the higher consciousness to manifest these desires. The subconscious mind, due to its alignment with the higher consciousness, will thus manifest whatever it has been programmed to believe. According to Neville Goddard, “The subconscious never fails to express that which has been impressed upon it. The moment it receives an impression, it begins to work out the ways of it’s expression. It accepts the feeling impressed upon it, your feelings, as a fact existing within itself and immediately sets about to produce in the outer or objective world the exact likeness of that feeling.” So the question is, what are you feeling and is it positive?
Other Scholars on the Subconscious Mind and Manifestation
Dr. Joseph Murphy, in his book "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind," shared similar views to Neville Goddard. He stated, "Once the subconscious mind accepts an idea, it begins to execute it."
Esther and Jerry Hicks, advocates of the Law of Attraction, also emphasize the role of the subconscious mind in manifestation. They suggest that our subconscious thoughts and beliefs send out a 'vibrational frequency' to the universe. When this frequency aligns with our conscious desires, we attract those desires into our lives.
Conclusion
The subconscious mind, when aligned with our conscious desires, has the power to manifest it into our realities. Neville Goddard and many others have highlighted the role of feelings and the subconscious mind in the manifestation process. By impressing the subconscious mind with the feeling of the wish fulfilled, we can align ourselves with higher consciousness, thereby harnessing the universe's energy to bring our desires into reality.

Understanding Manifestation
At its core, manifestation is the process of bringing something tangible into your life through attraction and belief. The principle suggests that if you think it, feel it, and believe it, you will bring it into your life. As Wayne Dyer, a renowned motivational speaker and self-help author, eloquently put it, "Our intention creates our reality."
The concept of manifestation is heavily linked to the Law of Attraction, a universal law that posits that like attracts like. Your dominant thoughts and beliefs, whether positive or negative, will find a way to manifest. Therefore, by deliberately choosing positive thoughts and emotions, you can manifest positive outcomes.
This is not a passive process. Rather, manifestation involves a conscious and active shaping of your thoughts and beliefs to align with your desires, and then taking action to make those desires come true. It's about creating a vision, cultivating the emotional and mental state to support that vision, and then working towards it in the real world.
Manifestation takes several forms and can involve practices like visualization, affirmations, meditation, journaling, and goal setting. It requires consistency, faith, and an open mind.
History of Manifestation
The roots of manifestation and the Law of Attraction can be traced back to the New Thought movement of the 19th century. This movement, starting in the United States, promoted the idea that the mind has the power to heal the body and shape reality.
Dr. Wayne Dyer wrote a fascinating book, Wishes Fulfilled, that explains the process of manifestation in vivid details.
Pioneers of Manifestation
While the origins of manifestation can be traced back centuries, two modern-day figures stand out in their innovative approaches to this practice: Neville Goddard and Wayne Dyer.
1. Neville Goddard
Neville Goddard, a metaphysical teacher from the mid-20th century, was a major proponent of the concept of manifestation. His teachings focused on the imaginative power of the mind, and he believed that reality could be altered through visualization and feeling.
Goddard wrote, "The world is yourself pushed out. Ask yourself what you want and then give it to you. Do not question how it will come about; just go your way knowing that the evidence of what you have done must appear, and it will." There is a fascinating book that Neville Goddard wrote called, Feeling is the Secret. In this book, he explains the whole concept of manifestation in details, even though the book is only 47 pages!
2. Dr. Wayne Dyer
Wayne Dyer was a popular motivational speaker and self-help author, well known for his emphasis on the power of intention and manifestation. His teachings emphasize the personal responsibility we have in shaping our own realities.
He notably said, "You create your thoughts, your thoughts create your intentions, and your intentions create your reality."
Manifestation Success Stories
To understand the transformative power of manifestation, consider these real-life stories:
Jim Carrey's $10 Million Check: This well-known story from the life of actor Jim Carrey showcases the power of visualization and affirmation. In the early days of his career, Carrey wrote himself a check for $10 million for "acting services rendered," post-dated it for Thanksgiving 1995 and kept it in his wallet. He visualized his success daily, imagining directors valuing his work and audiences loving his performances. In 1994, just before the check's date, Carrey received a movie role paying him $10 million.
Sarah Centrella's Dream Life: After a devastating divorce, Sarah Centrella, a single mother, used manifestation to rebuild her life. She created a "future board" (a variant of a vision board) to visualize her goals and aspirations. Centrella eventually became a bestselling author, world traveler, and master life coach, attributes she had envisioned on her future board.
Applying Manifestation in Your Life
Manifestation is more than wishful thinking—it's a deliberate and active process of creating your reality. Here are a few steps you can take:
Clarity: Be clear about what you want to manifest. Ambiguity can hinder your manifestation process.
Believe and Visualize: Fully believe in your ability to manifest your desires. Visualize your goal as though it's already achieved. As Neville Goddard advised, "Live in the end."
Positive Affirmations: Create and regularly repeat positive affirmations that align with your goals. Wayne Dyer recommended, "I attract what I want by being what I want."
Take Action: Don't forget to take proactive steps towards your goal. Manifestation works hand-in-hand with effort and determination in the physical world.
Gratitude: Cultivate gratitude for what you already have and for the success that is yet to come. Gratitude raises your vibration and aligns you with the positive energy needed for manifestation.
Remember, the journey of manifestation is personal and different for everyone. Trust in the process, keep a positive mindset, and stay open to opportunities as they arise.
Conclusion
Manifestation, with roots deeply set in historical and metaphysical concepts, has emerged as a powerful tool in the modern self-improvement sphere. While skeptics may view it as pseudoscience or mystical mumbo-jumbo, countless individuals like Jim Carrey and Sarah Centrella have harnessed the power of their minds to manifest their desires.
As you explore the power of manifestation, remember the insightful words of Wayne Dyer: "You'll see it when you believe it." Manifestation is not about seeing to believe, but rather believing to see. In aligning your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions with your desires, you open a world of endless possibilities and an empowered path to create your own reality.

Phineas Quimby: The Father of New Thought
Phineas Parkhurst Quimby, (Feb 16, 1802 NH - Jan 16, 1866, Belfast, ME), American exponent of mental healing, who is generally regarded as the founder of the New Thought movement, a metaphysical healing theory. Phineas Quimby, often recognized as the father of the New Thought movement, was one of the first to propose the idea of mind-over-matter in the mid-19th century. He believed that illness originated in the mind and could be cured through changing one's beliefs. This perspective laid the groundwork for the concept of positive thinking and its impact on reality, forming the foundation of manifestation.
Prentice Mulford: The Law of Attraction
Prentice Mulford (April 5, 1834 – c. May 30, 1891) was an American literary author. In addition, he was pivotal in the development of the thought within the New Thought movement. Many of the principles that would become standard in the movement, including the Law of Attraction were clearly laid out in his, Your Forces and How to Use Them, released as a series of essays during 1886–1892.
Prentice Mulford, a pivotal figure in the New Thought movement, is often credited with introducing the Law of Attraction. His essays, collectively known as "Your Forces and How to Use Them," proposed the idea that our thoughts attract corresponding events in the physical world. This laid the theoretical groundwork for modern manifestation theories.
Emile Coué: Autosuggestion and the Conscious Mind
Emile Coué, a French psychologist and pharmacist, introduced the concept of autosuggestion in the early 20th century. His famous mantra, "Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better," encapsulated the idea of influencing the subconscious mind through repeated affirmations, a practice widely used in manifestation techniques today.
Neville Goddard: Imagining Creates Reality
Neville Lancelot Goddard (Feb 19, 1905 – Oct 1, 1972), generally known as Neville Goddard, was a Barbadian New Thought author and Mysticwho wrote on the Bible, esotericism, and is considered to be one of the pioneers of the "law of assumption". He was a proponent of the New Thought movement in the mid-20th century, emphasized the power of imagination in shaping reality. His work, which included the belief that individuals could create their desired reality by imagining it in the first-person present tense, significantly influenced the modern concept of manifestation. Neville Goddard’s idea on how to manifest anything, was to transfer your feelings on what you want to manifest, from conscious into the subconscious mind at the critical stage, before bedtime, and the subconscious mind would bring that into form. It is a fascinating practice in order to manifest your desires into reality. He also has a fascinating book called, “Feeling is the Secret.” The subconscious mind and dreams that can become your reality.
Dr. Joseph Murphy: The Power of the Subconscious Mind
Dr. Joseph Murphy's Ph. D., D.D., (1898-1981), a native of Ireland who resettled in America was a prolific and widely admired New Thought minister and writer, best known for his motivational classic, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, an international bestseller since it first appeared onto the self-help scene in 1963. Dr. Murphy seminal work, "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind", brought the concept of manifestation into mainstream psychology. He suggested that the subconscious mind operates on the beliefs instilled by the conscious mind, and by altering these beliefs, one can manifest their desires. Murphy's work provides one of the clearest links between the practice of manifestation and the subconscious mind.
The Evolution of Manifestation Theory
The manifestation theory has evolved and diversified over time, incorporating elements from various disciplines, including psychology, neuroscience, and quantum physics. Today, it is a multi-faceted field with diverse interpretations and practices. Some emphasize the role of the Law of Attraction, while others focus more on visualization or affirmations.
In essence, the pioneers of manifestation believed in the transformative power of the mind—our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs—and their ability to shape our reality. Their innovative ideas continue to inspire countless individuals and form the bedrock of the manifestation practices we see today.

The Significance of the Subconscious Mind
It all starts with the power of the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is responsible for storing our memories, beliefs, and emotions, and it controls approximately 95% of our actions and decisions. By influencing our subconscious mind, we can effectively change our habits, behaviors, and thought patterns, ultimately leading to significant changes in our lives. It can also help us obtain long-forgotten dreams and goals.
The subconscious mind also acts as a filter, screening out information that does not align with our beliefs and allowing information that supports our beliefs to enter our conscious awareness. This filtering process can either hinder or enhance our ability to achieve our goals, depending on the beliefs held within our subconscious mind. These beliefs have been stored in our minds since childhood.
The Feelings of the Subconscious Mind
Feelings play a critical role in shaping the subconscious mind, as they serve as the bridge between our conscious thoughts and subconscious beliefs. Emotions are the language of the subconscious, and when we evoke strong, positive feelings through visualization, intentions, and affirmations, we create a powerful connection with our subconscious mind. This connection allows us to reprogram our subconscious beliefs and, in turn, influence our actions and behaviors to align with our desired outcomes. I will outline some ways to reprogram the subconscious mind to be positive.
Powerful Manifestation Techniques
a) Visualization
Visualization involves creating a vivid mental image of the desired outcome, allowing the mind to fully experience the emotions and sensations associated with that goal. This technique is highly effective in manifesting one's desires because it helps to strengthen neural pathways in the brain, making it easier to achieve the desired outcome. Visualization techniques are more powerful a few minutes before falling asleep. Visualizing what you want to manifest and resonating with the feelings will help shape your goals in your subconscious mind, which in turn helps you achieve your goals. Remember, we navigate life with our subconscious mind. You will be resonating with these positive feelings for 8 hours while you sleep. This is the most powerful technique for reshaping the subconscious mind and is worth reiterating. It is the commander in our brain that navigates our lives.
b) Affirmations
Affirmations are positive statements that reinforce belief in the achievement of specific goals. It helps to negate old negative thought patterns with positive ones. By regularly reciting positive affirmations, individuals can reprogram their subconscious mind, ultimately leading to a change in their thought patterns and actions. This will help you navigate in a successful way toward achieving your goals.
c) Written Intention
A written intention is a mental state that represents a commitment to carrying out an action, or actions, for a future goal, and you write out what you want to obtain. It's powerful beyond anyone's imagination in helping us obtain our dreams. Your written intention goes out into God's vast universe, and that energy does come back, but it also gets embedded in your subconscious mind. There are several ways to write an intention. I wrote a letter once outlining where I wanted to see myself in a year, and then I put the letter away. To my astonishment, I read the letter after the year was up, and everything I wrote on the letter came to pass. It proved to me the power of a written intention. This is a good example of manifesting something by writing it down.
d) Vision Boards
Creating a vision board is a powerful way to materialize one's dreams and aspirations. It is a collage of images, words, stickers, and phrases that represent the desired outcomes, serving as a constant reminder and source of motivation. It also helps to shape the subconscious mind with positive goals in order to navigate in a successful direction. Looking at the vision board daily helps to keep one's dreams at the forefront and keeps positive energy flowing.
g) Gratitude
Expressing gratitude for what one already has is another powerful manifestation technique. By focusing on the abundance in one's life, individuals attract more of what they desire. The law of attraction is clear: like attracts like, and positive thoughts will bring positive results. Additionally, gratitude also plays an important role in shaping our subconscious mind. Writing down 5 things you are grateful for at the end of your day has a myriad of benefits in your life, which will help you with your manifestation practice.
Quotes from Famous Personalities on Manifestation
a) "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve." Napoleon Hill
b) "The only limits in our lives are those we impose on ourselves." Bob Proctor
c) "The mind is everything." "What you think, you become." - Buddha
d) "The greatest gift you were ever given was the gift of your imagination. "Within your magical inner realm is the capacity to have all of your wishes fulfilled." Wayne Dyer
e) "Fate is only an unconscious manifestation of things that we wanted in the first place." Carl Jung
Success rate of manifestation
While it is difficult to provide an exact percentage or success rate for manifestation, numerous anecdotal accounts and case studies suggest that many individuals have achieved their desired outcomes through these techniques. Here are two such case studies from famous people:
a) Jim Carrey
In 1990, struggling actor Jim Carrey wrote himself a check for $10 million, dated for five years in the future, with the memo "for acting services rendered." He visualized receiving that money for years. Therefore, Jim Carrey used a written intention and the power of positive visualization to manifest his dream. By 1995, he had earned $10 million for his role in "Dumb and Dumber."
b) Oprah Winfrey
Oprah Winfrey attributes much of her success to the power of manifestation. She has spoken about her use of vision boards and affirmations to help her stay focused on her goals and ultimately achieve them.
In conclusion, the power of manifestation is a fascinating concept that continues to gain popularity. By employing techniques like visualization, affirmations, vision boards, and gratitude, many individuals have been able to achieve their desired outcomes. With famous personalities such as Napoleon Hill, Bob Proctor, Wayne Dyer, Buddha, and Carl Jung providing insight into the power of manifestation, it is no wonder that more and more people are turning to these techniques to help them create the life they desire. While it is difficult to quantify the success rate of manifestation, the anecdotal evidence and case studies available suggest that it is a powerful tool for those who choose to embrace it. However, with a little practice, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to create the future of your dreams.
